Environmental concerns gain an increasing prominence in many areas of industry and amongst the many benefits that Maillis' Tensium® polyester strapping offers is the fact that recycled polyester is used in its manufacture. This also has economic benefits.

Tensium® has significant strength requiring 2.5 times the energy to break as a steel strap of comparable break strain. It has an 'elastic memory' and, as a result, will maintain strap tension even if there is some pack settlement or shrinkage. Our polyester strapping is also without sharp edges, helping to create a safer working environment and reducing the potential for product damage. It is recyclable and, should recycling not be a viable option, is easier to dispose of than steel as it is much more compressible.
